Goods In Assistant

Location: Eye, Suffolk

Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday

We are currently recruiting for a Goods In Assistant to join an established manufacturing business based in Eye, Suffolk.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and reliable individual to join the Goods Inwards team, supporting the efficient receipt, inspection and movement of materials and stock across the site.

Duties include:

Off–loading delivered goods using a forklift truck and other manual handling equipment where required. Checking deliveries to ensure the quantity, description and quality match the relevant delivery note and purchase order. Inspecting incoming goods against drawings, specifications, purchase order descriptions and supporting documentation. Assisting with the packing and shipping of parts for sub–contract operations. Moving stock around the yard and manufacturing buildings. Recording goods receipts and transferring stock between locations using the ERP system. Assisting with inventory counts and supporting the management of consignment and Vendor Managed Inventory stock. Identifying and rejecting non–conforming goods, ensuring they are correctly isolated and labelled. Prioritising workloads to ensure deadlines are met. The role would suit someone who has:

A strong work ethic and positive attitude. Good organisational and time–management skills. Strong communication and administrative abilities. Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams. The ability to work accurately to deadlines. A team–focused approach and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. Benefits:
