Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Overhead Gantry Crane Operator for a contract role on a major converter station project based in Swaffham, Norfolk.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of overhead gantry cranes, supporting site lifting and material–handling activities in line with project procedures and health & safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Operate overhead gantry cranes safely and efficiently. Carry out lifting and material–handling activities as directed. Complete pre–use checks and report any defects or issues. Work closely with the site lifting team and other trades. Follow all site safety procedures, lifting plans and instructions. Maintain a safe and tidy working environment. Requirements
Previous experience operating overhead gantry cranes. Valid crane operator certification required. Relevant site experience, ideally within construction, energy or industrial projects. Good understanding of lifting operations and site safety requirements. Reliable, safety–conscious and able to work as part of a team. Working pattern Monday – Saturday 12 hour days. Own transport essential.
