Job Advert: Labourer (Self-Employed)

Location: Based in Melton Mowbray (Some nationwide travel required)

Pay: £12.50 per hour

Hours: Minimum of 44 hours per month (with potential for more based on workload)

We are currently seeking a reliable, flexible, and physically fit labourer to join our growing team on a self-employed basis. The role involves a variety of tasks including working independently and as part of a team. A valid driving licence and a minimum age of 25 are essential due to insurance requirements for vehicle use.

Key Responsibilities:

Loading and unloading vehicles

Driving company vehicles as required

Working across the following service areas:

• Removals

• Property Clearances

• Specialist Cleaning

Working Hours: Although the role guarantees a minimum of 44 hours per month, actual working hours may vary depending on workload and could be concentrated over a few days or spread throughout the month. There is potential for additional hours.

Flexibility is essential — you must be willing to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends as required, And also be prepared depending on the job some long days

Candidate Requirements:

Age 25+ (due to vehicle insurance restrictions)

Must hold a full UK driving licence

Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks

Reliable, punctual, and able to work with minimal notice

Professional, polite, and customer-friendly at all times

Comfortable working in private homes, including environments with children, pets, and vulnerable individuals

Able to use hand tools confidently

Willing to be trained to company standards

Additional Information:

All necessary tools and PPE will be provided

Each job will be accompanied by a detailed job sheet outlining specific requirements

A successful first month may lead to a PAYE (employed) position
