TeacherActive seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated full–time Year 5/6 Class Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in September. You will be responsible for delivering high–quality teaching to a mixed–age Key Stage 2 class, supporting pupils as they prepare for transition to secondary school.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a broad, balanced and engaging curriculum aligned with the Curriculum for Wales, ensuring all learners are supported to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

Plan, prepare and deliver high–quality lessons across all Areas of Learning and Experience (AoLEs)Implement the principles of the Curriculum for Wales, including: Progression–based learningCross–curricular deliveryDevelopment of the Four Purposes Use a range of teaching strategies to engage and motivate learnersProvide appropriate challenge for more able pupils and support for those with ALN Assessment & Progress

Use formative and summative assessment effectively to inform planningTrack and monitor pupil progress in line with school systemsProvide constructive feedback to pupils to support improvement Classroom Environment

Establish a positive, inclusive and safe learning environmentPromote high standards of behaviour in line with school policySupport pupils emotional wellbeing and resilienceDevelop strong relationships with pupils based on respect and trust Additional Learning Needs (ALN)

Identify and support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)Work closely with the ALNCo to implement Individual Development Plans (IDPs)Differentiate learning effectively to meet diverse needs Wider School Contribution
