Description

Our school is a caring, inclusive, and ambitious primary school seeking to appoint an outstanding Year 4 Class Teacher to join our dedicated team. We are looking for a passionate and highly motivated teacher who has high expectations for all pupils and is committed to delivering engaging, high-quality teaching that enables every child to succeed.

Year 4 Class Teacher

Salary: £130 - £160 per day

Contract: Full Time

Start Date: Monday 2nd October 2026

Location: Nelson

The Role

The successful candidate will:

Take responsibility for a Year 4 class, creating a positive and stimulating learning environment.

Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and challenging lessons that inspire pupils to achieve their full potential.

Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, using assessment information effectively to inform teaching.

Maintain high expectations of behaviour, learning, and attendance.

Support pupils' academic, personal, social, and emotional development.

Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children.

Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and school events.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Has experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally in Lower Key Stage 2.

Demonstrates excellent classroom practice and a strong understanding of the primary curriculum.

Has high expectations and aspirations for all pupils.

Possesses strong behaviour management skills and can create a nurturing learning environment.

Is reflective, enthusiastic, and committed to ongoing professional development.

Works effectively as part of a team and has excellent communication skills.

Shares our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
