Year 3 Teaching Assistant

Lancaster – Primary School – Part–Time Immediate Start

Veritas Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 class within a welcoming primary school in Lancaster.

This is a long–term opportunity covering a period of staff sickness absence and is expected to continue for at least half a term, with the potential to be extended.

The Role

General classroom support within a Year 3 classAssisting the class teacher with daily learning activitiesSupporting pupils both individually and in small groupsHelping to maintain a positive and engaging learning environmentProviding general classroom and pastoral support as required

Working Pattern

The position will be working:

Monday and Tuesday – Full Days (expected)Thursday and Friday – MorningsDays are currently subject to confirmation

The School

This friendly and supportive primary school is based in Lancaster and is easily accessible via local bus routes, making it an excellent option for both drivers and non–drivers.

Requirements

Previous experience working with children in a school setting is desirableTeaching Assistant qualification is advantageous but not essentialPositive, reliable and proactive approachAbility to build strong relationships with pupils and staffEnhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
