Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant

Ashford

£440 - £550 per week

Vision for Education is seeking passionate and motivated individuals to join our team as Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to start a rewarding career in education and make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN).

You’ll work alongside experienced teachers and support staff, gaining hands-on experience in the classroom. No prior school-based experience is required—just a genuine enthusiasm for working with children and a willingness to learn.

The Role Will Involve:

Supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Helping create a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment.

Assisting with classroom activities, small group interventions, and 1:1 support.

Encouraging independence and promoting confidence in learning.

Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals to deliver tailored support.

About You

We are looking for individuals who are:

Passionate about working with children and young people.

Patient, empathetic, and resilient.

Willing to learn and take part in training opportunities provided by Vision for Education.

Reliable, flexible, and committed to supporting pupils with SEN.

Previous experience in care, youth work, or a related role is desirable but not essential. Full training and support will be provided.
