Location: Northfield, Birmingham, B31Weekly Pay: 500 – 525Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)Start Date: ASAPContract: Long–Term to PermanentLong Term Futures are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Northfield. You will be based within a Year 6 class, supporting learning while providing additional support for pupils with SEN and challenging behaviour.

The school is looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is confident supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and behavioural needs.

The Role

Support pupils within a Year 6 classroomProvide whole–class, small group and 1:1 SEN supportSupport pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and challenging behaviourUse positive behaviour management and de–escalation strategiesSupport emotional regulation, engagement and learningDeliver targeted interventions where requiredWork closely with the class teacher and SENCO

The Ideal Candidate

Previous Teaching Assistant experience within a primary schoolExperience supporting pupils with SEN and challenging behaviourConfident working with upper KS2 pupilsStrong behaviour management and de–escalation skillsCalm, resilient and consistent approachLevel 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirableTeam Teach or Behaviour Management training is highly desirable
