Job Title: Level 2 Teaching Assistant

Location: Conisbrough, South Yorkshire

Contract: Temporary, Term-Time Only, Full-Time (8:30 AM – 3:30 PM)

Salary: PAYE £12.07 – £14.43 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Level 2 Teaching Assistants to join a dynamic team in a Conisbrough-based school. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities

Provide tailored support to pupils with diverse learning needs, including those with autism, communication difficulties, and physical disabilities.

Assist in the delivery of individualised learning plans and adapt resources to meet pupils' specific requirements.

Support pupils in accessing the curriculum, both in the classroom and during outdoor activities.

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.

Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to monitor and assess pupil progress.

Assist in managing classroom behaviour and implementing strategies to promote positive behaviour.

Contribute to the preparation of learning materials and classroom displays.

Candidate Requirements

Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.

Experience working with children, particularly those with SEND, is desirable.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to supporting pupils.

Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one.

Right to work in the UK.

Additional Information

This is a full-time, term-time only position, working from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The role is temporary, with the potential for extension based on pupil needs and funding. The hourly pay rate ranges from £12.07 to £14.43, depending on experience and qualifications.
