Salary: £22,932

Location: Cardiff (Onsite)

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 4:30pm

About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting learners to reach their goals. You’ll work closely with students to provide academic guidance, assist in delivering engaging learning activities, and promote a positive, inclusive learning environment.

This position supports the Jobs Growth Wales Plus (JGW+) programme — a Welsh Government initiative designed to enhance employability by providing training and work experience opportunities to young people and those seeking employment.

Key Responsibilities

* Support learners in completing assignments and coursework set by their tutors.

* Assist in delivering learning programmes, ensuring learners remain motivated and engaged.

* Provide one-to-one or small group support to help learners achieve their personal and academic targets.

* Foster an inclusive and encouraging environment where every learner feels supported.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

* Experience working with young people, or a strong passion for helping others succeed.

* An engaging, supportive, and motivational communication style.

* Willingness to complete a DBS check (funded by the employer) and register with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
