Job Title: Teaching Assistant (TA)

Location Weymouth

Pay Rate: £13.68 - £16.12 per hour (Depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

GSL Education are recruiting a committed Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic and vibrant school in Weymouth, providing essential classroom support and contributing to a positive learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities of the TA:

Support teachers in delivering lessons and activities to meet individual student needs.

Assist with classroom management to maintain a safe and engaging learning environment.

Provide one-to-one or small group support for students requiring additional help.

Help prepare and organise learning resources and classroom materials.

Monitor student progress and communicate observations to teaching staff.

Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development.

Ideal Candidate Requirements of the SEN TA:

Experience working with children in a school or educational setting.

Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.

Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to different learning needs.

Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
