Teaching Assistant – SEN School in Wood Green

Location: Wood Green, N22 4HH

Daily Rate: £90 - £105 (depending on experience)

Hours: 8:15 am – 3:45 pm

Contract: Ad hoc / flexible supply work / Long term

GSL Education are seeking a caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a welcoming SEN school in Wood Green. This flexible, ad hoc role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in different settings and wants to make a real impact.

Your Role as a Teaching Assistant:

Support children with Autism and a range of additional SEN needs.

Help implement personalised support plans and learning objectives.

Encourage students to develop essential life skills, including communication and social interaction.

Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive and positive learning environment.

Monitor and record students’ progress, adjusting support as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

Prior experience supporting children with SEN in an educational setting, or good understanding of SEN.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

A patient, caring, and proactive approach focused on student wellbeing.

An Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
