Teaching Assistant (SEND)

Description

A primary school in Manchester is looking for a dedicated, passionate, and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team.

As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping pupils with Special Educational Needs including classroom support, one-to-one interventions, and assisting in other activities. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to create a safe engaging and inclusive learning environment. You will support pupils with a range of complex needs, including:

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)Learning DifficultiesSocial, Emotional and Mental Health NeedsPhysical disabilitiesDuties

Provide close support to children with Special Educational Needs.Work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored learning activities.Support pupils in developing their academic, emotional, and social skills.Promote an inclusive learning environment where every child can learn and thrive.Monitor and report on pupil progress to help shape their individual education plans.Managing behaviour effectively with restorative approaches.Requirements

Experience with SEND desirable.Right to work in the UK.Full UK driving Licence and access to a vehicle(highly desirable).Enhanced DBS.
