Position: Intimate Care Teaching Assistant (TA)

Contract: Full–time / Part–time

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are looking for a caring, patient and reliable Intimate Care Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Hackney. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them develop their confidence, independence and wellbeing.

The Role

As an Intimate Care Teaching Assistant, you will provide sensitive and respectful personal care support to pupils who require assistance with their daily needs. You will work closely with teachers, SEN staff and other professionals to ensure each child is supported safely and with dignity.

Your responsibilities may include:

Providing intimate and personal care in line with school policies and individual care plans. Supporting pupils with toileting, changing and personal hygiene. Promoting pupils' independence and self–esteem wherever possible. Assisting pupils with their learning and classroom activities. Supporting children with SEND and a range of individual needs. Maintaining a safe, calm and nurturing environment. Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and families where appropriate. Maintaining confidentiality and treating every pupil with dignity and respect. Following safeguarding, health and safety and personal care procedures at all times. About You

The successful candidate will be:

Caring, compassionate and patient. Comfortable providing intimate care in a professional and respectful manner. Reliable, trustworthy and discreet. Confident working with children with SEND. Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff. A strong communicator and team player. Committed to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare. Previous experience in a school, care or support setting is desirable, but training can be provided for the right candidate. Why Join Us?
