Teaching Assistant – Leeds Primary Schools

Location: Leeds

Hours: Full-time

Term-time only

Pay: £90–£100 per day

Are you passionate about supporting young learners and making a real difference in the classroom? Teaching Personnel are excited to be recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work across our welcoming Leeds primary schools.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a supportive, hands-on role and feels confident working with pupils who have Special Educational Needs (SEN). Whether you’re an experienced Teaching Assistant, SEN Sports Coach, or Healthcare Assistant, we’d love to hear from you.

About You

You’ll be caring, reliable, and proactive, with a genuine interest in helping children reach their full potential.

Desirable qualifications and experience include:

Level 2 Certificate in Early Years Education or Childcare

Previous experience supporting children in an educational or childcare setting

Basic First Aid certification

Your Role Will Include:

Delivering engaging one-to-one and small group sessions

Supporting class teachers to ensure SEN pupils are fully included and progressing well

Encouraging confidence, independence, and positive behaviour in pupils

Supervising pupils during break and lunchtime as required

Building strong, positive relationships with staff, pupils, and parents/carers to ensure excellent communication

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
