Salary: 140– 160 per day

Are you a passionate and adaptable Secondary Teacher looking for flexible work in local schools? We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and committed Secondary Supply Teachers to work across a range of excellent secondary schools in Colchester and the surrounding areas.

Whether you specialise in English, Maths, Science, Humanities, Modern Foreign Languages, PE, Computing, Arts or another secondary subject, we have opportunities to suit your experience and availability. We welcome applications from experienced teachers, Early Career Teachers (ECTs), and educators returning to the profession.

The Role

As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will play an important role in maintaining continuity of learning during staff absences. You will deliver engaging lessons, manage classroom behaviour effectively and create a positive learning environment that supports student achievement.

Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering pre–planned lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4Teaching your specialist subject or providing general classroom cover when required.Creating a positive, inclusive and productive learning environment.Managing behaviour in line with each school's behaviour policy.Encouraging student engagement and promoting high expectations.Assessing learning where required and providing clear feedback to teaching staff.Building positive relationships with students, colleagues and school leaders.Following safeguarding, child protection and school policies at all times.

We're Looking For

We are seeking teachers who:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.Have experience teaching within UK secondary schools.Are confident delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.Have excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.Are flexible, reliable and able to adapt quickly to new school environments.Demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills.Are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.Applications are welcomed from:

Essential Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.Recent experience teaching within a secondary school environment.Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.Eligibility to work in the UK.Satisfactory professional references.A commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
