Are you a dynamic Cover Teacher looking for your next exciting role?
Vision for Education are seeking Cover Teachers for our client schools in Tameside and Glossop.
About the role
As an outstanding classroom practitioner, with a drive to improve the life chances of young people through education, the successful applicant:
• Must be able to motivate, challenge and inspire pupils to succeed
• Must be committed to improving the outcomes for all pupils
• Will hold high expectations of themselves and pupils
• Will have excellent communication skills and the ability to develop and improve practice in themselves and others
• Will be up to date with relevant pedagogy and apply this to their teaching
The successful applicant will be teaching across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), covering a range of subjects in the absence of a teacher.
Starting January 2026, with daily cover, short and long–term roles available.
About the school
We are currently working in partnership with fantastic secondary schools throughout the Tameside and Glossop area. Our schools are supportive and welcoming.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Cover Teacher you will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)Be able to motivate, inspire and challenge studentsAble to provide suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
