Sports Coach / Teaching Assistant – SEN Support

Location: Hayes

Start Date: ASAP Start

Contract: Full-Time, 8:00am - 3:30pm

A welcoming and supportive mainstream primary school in Hayes is seeking a motivated Sports Coach / Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about sport, inclusion, and pupil development, with clear opportunities for progression and professional growth.

The Role

As a Sports Coach / Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Deliver engaging PE and sports sessions, adapted to meet the needs of all pupils

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN within the classroom and during physical activities

• Support children with ASD, behavioural needs, and additional learning needs

• Use inclusive strategies to encourage confidence, teamwork, and positive behaviour

• Support emotional regulation and positive engagement

• Work closely with class teachers and SEN staff to support learning outcomes

• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and structured environment

About You

• Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting

• Confident delivering sports or PE activities in a primary setting

• Patient, enthusiastic, xjnqpsq and adaptable

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Reliable and committed to supporting pupils’ wellbeing and development

• DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
