Job Title: Specialist Teaching Assistant – Hearing Inclusion

Location: Gateshead

Start Date: September

Salary: GBP14 – GBP16 per hour

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of welcoming Primary and Secondary schools across Gateshead who are looking to appoint a Specialist Teaching Assistant – Hearing Inclusion. These inclusive schools are committed to providing high–quality support for pupils with hearing impairments, creating positive learning environments where every child is encouraged to thrive both academically and personally.

The schools are looking to appoint a Specialist Teaching Assistant – Hearing Inclusion on a long–term basis, with both full–time and part–time opportunities available from September. The successful Specialist Teaching Assistant – Hearing Inclusion will provide dedicated 1–2–1 support for pupils with hearing impairments, working closely with teaching staff to promote communication, engagement and independence throughout the school day.

The successful Specialist Teaching Assistant – Hearing Inclusion will have:

Experience working with children or young people with hearing impairmentsBritish Sign Language (BSL) qualification or practical BSL experience is desirableExperience providing 1–2–1 support within an educational settingStrong communication and interpersonal skillsA patient, caring and adaptable approachA genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential In return for the above you can expect to receive:
