SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support & General Classroom Support - Full-Time - Immediate Start

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a child's education?

Do you have a passion for providing 1:1 support to children with special educational needs and supporting the wider classroom environment?

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school team. You will provide 1:1 support for a child with additional needs, while also assisting with general classroom duties to help create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

Job Details:

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support & General Classroom Support

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Full-Time

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities:

Provide focused 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and develop key skills

Assist the class teacher with general classroom activities and behaviour management

Support the child's social, emotional, and academic development

Help adapt resources and activities to meet individual needs

Promote independence and confidence in the child supported

Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff

Experience & Skills Required:

Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant, particularly providing 1:1 support

Understanding of SEN needs and strategies to support learners

Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills

Ability to work as part of a team and follow guidance

A DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to apply
