SLD Teaching Assistant -

Location: B90, Solihull

Agency: Aspire People

Start Date: ASAP

Pay: Competitive rates based on experience

Aspire People are working in partnership with a special educational needs (SEN) school in the B90 area of Solihull who are seeking a committed and compassionate SLD Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.

This is a rewarding, full-time role supporting pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and may also involve working with students who have additional needs including autism, speech and language difficulties, and physical disabilities.

About the Role:

Supporting students with SLD on a 1:1 or small group basis

Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and behaviour management

Providing personal care when required (training provided)

Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

Working closely with other professionals including SENCOs and therapists

Requirements:

Experience supporting children or young people with SEN/SLD

A nurturing, patient and resilient approach

A team player with strong communication skills

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 TA, CACHE, Health & Social Care) are advantageous but not essential
