Description
Teaching Assistant - Secondary SEND (Boys)
Hillingdon, UB8
8.30am - 4.00pm | Term time only
Long-term | 5 days per week
We're working with a well-established Secondary SEND school in Hillingdon supporting pupils with complex needs, ASD and PMLD. The school is looking for a reliable, committed Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis.
This role is to support a number of Year 11-12 boys who respond best to positive male role models and need consistency to build trust and feel secure.
The role
Supporting pupils with complex learning and physical needs
Working 1:1 and in small groups
Supporting personal care (essential)
Helping pupils regulate, engage and feel safe in school
Being a calm, firm and fair presence throughout the day
What the school needs
Someone dependable - this is not a stop-gap role
Excellent attendance and commitment are essential
Confident, grounded and able to hold boundaries
Comfortable working with older pupils with SEND
Able to build strong, trusting relationships over time
This role would suit someone who is:
Looking for long-term stability, not short-term cover
Interested in SEND, care, youth work, psychology, sports coaching or support xjnqpsq work
Happy to roll their sleeves up and be part of a team
Firm but kind - you can be consistent without being confrontational
Full-time, Monday to Friday
Long-term placement with real continuity
Supportive school with experienced SEND staff
If you're someone who shows up, sticks it out and takes pride in making a real difference, this could be a genuinely rewarding long-term role.
