SEND Teaching Assistant

Start: September 2025 – End: July 2026 (with potential for a permanent position)

Location: Kirkstall, Leeds

Salary: From GBP90 – GBP110 per day

PK Education are proud to be supporting a vibrant and welcoming 1–form–entry primary school in Kirkstall in their search for a SEND Teaching Assistant to start this September on a full–time, long–term basis. This school has a strong sense of community, a nurturing ethos, and a dedicated team that truly cares about the development of every child.

You ll predominantly be supporting pupils entering the new cohort in September, many of whom have Autism, delayed communication and language skills, and social development needs.

Your Role:

Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with SENDSupport children with communication and interaction difficultiesHelp develop pupils social skills and encourage positive relationshipsAssist with personal care where requiredWork closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies and interventions such as alternative methods of communication and visual aids What You ll Need:

Previous experience supporting children with SEND, ideally Autism, speech & language needs and behaviour that challengesA patient, empathetic and adaptable approachStrong communication skills and a team–first mindsetA DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one) Interested?
