Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently seeking flexible and confident individuals to join schools in Thurnscoe as Cover Supervisors on a day-to-day basis. This is an exciting opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced educators looking to gain practical classroom experience or maintain a work-life balance.

Role Overview:

As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will be responsible for managing a classroom during short-term teacher absences. You will deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure a calm, productive learning environment. Your presence in the classroom will help maintain continuity in students’ learning and uphold the school’s expectations.

Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:

Supervising and delivering lessons set by the class teacher.

Managing student behaviour and ensuring tasks are completed.

Supporting students with their learning as required.

Ensuring a safe and respectful classroom environment.

Reporting back to teaching staff with any concerns or feedback.

Requirements for Cover Supervisor:

Previous experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting is desirable.

Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Ability to adapt to different subjects and year groups.

A genuine interest in education and working with young people.

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new one.

A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
