The RoleAs a Teacher of SEN, you will join a highly supportive SEN team, teaching and inspiring a small class of pupils with Autism, communication challenges, and moderate learning difficulties. You will be responsible for delivering tailored, engaging lessons that nurture confidence, social skills, and independence among your students.

This role will suit someone who thrives on adapting learning, enjoys building positive relationships, and is committed to inclusive teaching in a specialist setting.

Role ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons matching the individual needs of pupilsSupport pupils with Autism, communication needs, and other additional learning requirementsMonitor pupil progress and adapt learning to reflect each student's EHCP targetsWork closely with experienced Teaching Assistants and therapists across the schoolPromote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and a sense of achievement in every child

Skills and ExperienceQualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essentialMinimum of 6 months' experience teaching in a UK SEN settingProven experience supporting pupils with Autism and communication needsEnhanced Child or Child & Adult DBS (or willingness to obtain)Ability to provide references covering the previous 24 months

Location and PackageBased in Handsworth, easily accessible by public transport and carCompetitive daily pay: GBP140 GBP253 per dayContract role starting from September 2026
