Job Title: SEND Teacher

Area: Wakefield, West Yorkshire

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term

Rate: £140 - £220 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm

As a SEND Teacher, you will become part of a dedicated team focused on delivering high-quality, personalised learning experiences that promote independence, confidence, and success.

As a SEND Teacher, you will:

Deliver high-quality, tailored teaching to secondary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs.

Plan and differentiate engaging lessons that align with EHCP outcomes and individual learning goals.

Work closely with the SENCO, support staff, therapists, and parents/carers to ensure students receive consistent support.

Promote students' academic achievement, social development, emotional wellbeing, and preparation for adulthood.

Create a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.What We're Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience teaching within an SEN setting or strong experience supporting students with SEND within mainstream secondary education.

Knowledge of Autism, SEMH, communication needs, and complex learning difficulties.

A calm, patient, and resilient approach to behaviour and classroom management.

A passion for inclusive education and helping young people overcome barriers to learning.

The ability to adapt teaching strategies and learning resources to meet a wide range of individual needs.To be eligible, you must:

Hold Right to Work in the UK.

Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or be willing to process a new application.
