Job Title: SEND Learning Support Assistant

Location: Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire

Start Date: Immediate start

Daily Rate: £90–£120

We’re looking for a committed SEND Learning Support Assistant to work on a supply basis, delivering one-to-one and small group support to pupils with a diverse range of learning needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people while building your experience across a variety of SEND environments.

What We’re Looking For

We’re especially interested in applicants with experience supporting students with:

Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)

Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs

Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)

Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)

ADHD, ADD, or other behavioural challenges

Complex or challenging behaviours

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have experience within SEND or alternative education settings

Feel confident working across multiple Key Stages

Be resilient, patient, and unflustered by challenging behaviour

Use effective and positive behaviour management techniques

Show empathy, adaptability, and a calm approach to support

Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families
