Are you a passionate and experienced SEN Tutor in Wellingborough looking for an opportunity to make a genuine difference?

A supportive and forward-thinking specialist education provider is looking for a dedicated SEN Tutor in Wellingborough to deliver personalised education to children and young people with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASD), SEMH, ADHD, dyslexia, trauma-related needs, and other learning difficulties.

As a SEN Tutor, you'll provide engaging 1:1 and small-group tuition, usually working with a small number of learners at a time. This allows you to create lessons around each student's individual needs, interests, abilities, and learning style.

You'll have the opportunity to build strong relationships with learners, help them overcome barriers to education, and support their academic, emotional, and personal development in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities of an SEN Tutor in Wellingborough

Deliver engaging and personalised lessons tailored to individual learning needs and EHCP outcomes.

Adapt teaching approaches to support pupils with ASD, SEMH, ADHD, dyslexia, and trauma-related needs.

Provide effective 1:1 and small-group tuition based on individual requirements.

Monitor, assess, and record learner progress.

Build positive and trusting relationships with students and, where appropriate, their families.

Create a calm, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Encourage confidence, resilience, independence, and positive engagement with education.

Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure learners receive consistent and appropriate support.

What We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate

Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN - essential.

A strong understanding of additional learning needs and effective SEN strategies.

Experience delivering 1:1 tuition or personalised learning is desirable.

The ability to adapt your teaching style to meet individual needs.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

A calm, resilient, and nurturing approach.

QTS, tutoring experience, HLTA status, or relevant education experience is desirable.

A genuine commitment to helping young people overcome barriers and achieve their potential.
