Location: Handsworth, Birmingham

Start Date: Immediate Start

Salary: £95 - £115 per day

Do you have experience working with children and young people with EHCPs?

Are you patient, resilient and adaptable, with a genuine commitment to helping pupils with SEND reach their potential?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist school in Handsworth supporting pupils aged 4-16 who all have a diagnosis of Autism and an EHCP. The school is undergoing an exciting transformation from a Primary Special School into an all-age Special School, providing pupils with continuity and specialist support throughout their primary and secondary education.

The school is looking to appoint SEND Teaching Assistants for day-to-day and long-term opportunities, with an immediate start. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support pupils across different age groups, providing individual and classroom support while helping pupils develop their communication, confidence, independence and engagement with learning.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

Experience working with children or young people with SEND

Experience supporting pupils with Autism / ASD

Experience working with pupils with EHCPs

Confidence supporting pupils across different age groups

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
