GSL Education Kent Branch are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of the schools in Dartford. This is a great opportunity for a patient and supportive person who enjoys helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and make progress in the classroom.

As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who have special educational needs, providing 1:1 and small–group support where required. The successful candidate will build positive relationships with pupils, encourage engagement, and help create a calm and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small–group support to pupils as an SEN TASupport learning, communication, and emotional developmentHelp pupils stay focused and engaged during lessonsEncourage positive behaviour and independenceWork closely with teachers and other support staffAdapt your approach to meet individual pupil needs Requirements for the SEN TA role:

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirableExperience supporting pupils with SEN is advantageousPatient, caring, and resilient approachStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to build trusting relationships with pupilsAn enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply What GSL Education Offer:
