Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for new opportunities in Birmingham?

Winner Education are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a special school based in the Central Birmingham area. This role will start immediately on a long–term placement and will be part time, 4 days a week. The successful applicant will have previous SEN experience, in particular with Autism and Non–Verbal needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEN requirementsAssist the main class teacher in lesson preparationRegular use of Makaton and PECSTailor learning materials to the requirement of individual learnersAssist with pupil progress reportsLiaise with outside agencies when requiredSupport the class teacher with pupil assessments

The successful SEN teaching assistant will have:

Previous SEN experiencePrevious experience working with KS4/5 SEN childrenPrevious experience with Autism, Makaton and PECSStrong resilience and patienceUsed various communication methods
