SEN Teaching Assistant – Merton Location: Merton, South West London
Position Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Salary: £102.79 – £115 per day, depending on experience
Pertemps Education are recruiting on behalf of a SEN School in Merton who are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join their welcoming and inclusive school. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support students with a range of special educational needs, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN.
Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Support students in accessing the curriculum and developing social and emotional skills.
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to deliver tailored learning and care.
Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.About You:
Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school, youth work, or care background welcomed).
Understanding of Autism, ADHD, or other learning differences.
Patient, empathetic, and proactive with strong communication skills.
Able to work effectively as part of a team.
