Description

We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bolton for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs to join a supportive and caring school community.

The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH), and speech and language difficulties.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN.

Assist in delivering tailored learning activities and interventions.

Implement strategies to support engagement, learning, and behaviour.

Foster positive relationships to promote pupil confidence and independence.

Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals.

Support the social, emotional, and academic development of pupils.

Requirements

Previous experience working with children with SEN

A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to adapt to individual learning needs and styles.

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
