SEN Teaching Assistant - Wandsworth - September 2025 Start

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Wandsworth, London

Start Date: September 2025

Contract: Full-time, Term-Time Only

Salary: £100-£125 per day (depending on experience)

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? Do you have the compassion, resilience, and creativity to help every child reach their full potential?

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wandsworth is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils who have a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities.

The Role:

Supporting individual pupils or small groups with additional needs

Assisting the class teacher in adapting learning materials and activities

Helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment

Collaborating with SENCO, therapists, and other staff to deliver personalised support

Promoting positive behaviour and social development

The Ideal Candidate:

Has experience working with children with SEN (in a school or care setting)

Is patient, empathetic, and highly motivated

Has strong communication and teamwork skills

Can adapt to different needs and learning styles

Holds a relevant qualification (desirable but not essential)

Whether you're an experienced SEN TA or a graduate looking to gain classroom experience before pursuing a career in education or therapy, we want to hear from you!
