SEN Teacher – Specialist SEND School

Location: Sheffield

Salary: 160– 240 per day

Contract: Full–time Long–term September Start

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded specialist SEND school within a well–established multi–academy trust in Sheffield.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a supportive specialist setting, working with pupils who have a range of additional needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), communication needs and associated complex needs.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that support pupils to achieve both academically and personally, while working collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team. As part of a multi–academy trust, there may also be opportunities to work across other specialist settings within the trust.

The Role

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual pupil needs.Adapt teaching strategies to meet a wide range of SEND needs.Support pupils in achieving the outcomes outlined in their EHCPs.Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, families and external professionals.Create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment where pupils can thrive.Monitor pupil progress and contribute to reviews, assessments and target setting.

The Ideal Candidate

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).Has experience working with children or young people with SEND.Is naturally nurturing, patient and genuinely care–focused.Has a passion for supporting pupils with complex and high levels of need.Can build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management.Is committed to helping every pupil reach their full potential, both academically and personally.

Pay Rate

The daily rate for this position is 160– 240 per day.

Where you fall within this pay range will depend on several factors, including:

Your previous SEND teaching experience.Relevant qualifications, training and specialist expertise.The budget allocated to the role by the school. While Tradewind Recruitment always strives to secure the highest possible rate for our candidates, the final daily rate will ultimately be determined by the school's available budget for the position. This means that candidates with similar experience and qualifications may receive different rates depending on the funding available for the role.
