Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting a committed SEN Support Assistant to join a specialist school in Cardiff. This forward-thinking provision supports pupils aged 3–19 with a broad range of Additional Learning Needs, including autism spectrum conditions, communication and learning difficulties, and physical or medical needs.

With small class sizes and high levels of staff support, you will be able to provide focused, individualised assistance, helping pupils access learning, build independence, and reach their full potential. What We’re Looking For

Resilient, patient, and understanding attitude

Experience supporting children or individuals with SEN and challenging behaviours

Ability to deliver consistent 1:1 and small group support

Someone who thrives in a flexible, fast-paced SEN setting, adapting quickly to new challenges

Skills in managing and de-escalating behaviour effectively

Commitment to boosting pupil engagement and emotional development

Dedication to creating an inclusive learning environment

Requirements (or willingness to obtain at your own cost)

To demonstrate your commitment to working in education, you must either hold or be prepared to apply for the following:

Must be 18 or over

Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)

An Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service

Level 2 Safeguarding training

At least two professional references covering 24 months of employment
