Job Title: SEN Secondary Teaching Assistant

Location: Sheffield

Contract: School Terms Only (Monday to Friday)

Daily Rate: £92.56 - £110 (includes holiday pay, dependent on experience)

Step Into a Role Where Your Patience Shapes Futures

Do you possess a natural ability to connect with neurodivergent young people and help them navigate their world? Academics Agency is seeking an intuitive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a forward-thinking secondary team.

What You'll Gain:

Meaningful Pay: £92.56 - £110 daily, acknowledging the specialised insight and emotional resilience you bring to autistic learners.

Term-Time Only Structure: Work during school terms only, freeing up holidays for rest, upskilling, or time with loved ones.

Free Professional Growth: Access complimentary CPD workshops, including certified autism awareness and safeguarding training, to deepen your practice.

Share & Earn: Recommend a new team member who joins us and receive a £75 Love2Shop voucher through our referral scheme.

Who You Are:

You are calm, structured, and find joy in consistency and small breakthroughs. The ideal candidate will have:

Firsthand experience supporting SEN children or young people (in schools, respite care, specialist settings, or similar environments).

A clear, predictable communication style, with the ability to follow sensory profiles, routine-based strategies, and de-escalation techniques.

Deep respect for neurodiversity and a genuine commitment to safeguarding vulnerable learners.

An active Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or full willingness to apply for one).

Two relevant professional references confirming your reliability and character. xjnqpsq
