Salary: £120 - £155 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming Alternative Provision in Newcastle, dedicated to supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The setting provides a nurturing and structured learning environment, helping young people with challenging behaviour to build confidence, develop positive relationships and achieve their full potential.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated SEMH Teacher on a long-term basis with an ASAP start. The successful SEMH Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, managing behaviour positively and supporting students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour to achieve both academically and personally.

The successful SEMH Teacher will have:

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour

Strong behaviour management and classroom management skills

A patient, resilient and adaptable approach

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

A commitment to creating a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment
