About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) with experience supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a vibrant Camden primary school, working closely with children who require additional support to thrive academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs.

Assist in the delivery of tailored learning plans under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.

Support pupils in developing positive relationships, resilience, and emotional regulation.

Promote inclusion and ensure pupils feel safe, valued, and supported.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure consistent support.

Contribute to the wider school community and uphold safeguarding standards.

Person Specification

We are looking for someone who is:

Experienced in supporting children with SEMH needs (school–based experience preferred).

Patient, empathetic, and resilient with excellent communication skills.

Able to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff.

Knowledgeable about strategies to support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.

Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Qualifications & Experience

Previous experience as an LSA, Teaching Assistant, or similar role.

Training or experince in SEMH, behaviour management, or related areas is highly desirable.

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths required.
