TEMPORARY SCHOOL COOK – BARROW–IN–FURNESS
Location: Barrow–in–Furness
Start Date: September 2026
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–2:00pm
Pay: 18– 20 per hour
Position: Temporary School Cook
We are currently looking for an experienced and reliable School Cook/Chef to join a school kitchen in Barrow–in–Furness on a temporary basis from September.
The role includes:
Preparing and cooking fresh, nutritious meals for pupils and staff
Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
Following food safety and allergen procedures
Working efficiently as part of a small kitchen team
Providing a friendly and professional service
What we're looking for:
Previous experience in a school, care, nursery or similar catering environment
Food Hygiene certificate
Knowledge of allergens and food safety
Reliable, organised and able to work independently
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
