Description

Due to an overwhelming demand for school cleaning staff, we're urgently seeking new team members! If you're a meticulous and reliable individual with a keen eye for detail, we need you to help us create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children and staff.

We're looking for dedicated School Cleaners to join our friendly team on a temporary contract starting in September 2025. This vital role involves supporting primary and secondary schools across the Blackpool and Fylde Coast, ensuring a healthy and positive learning environment for our pupils. Working hours are across Monday - Friday both in and outside of term time. Pay is between £13.68 - £14.68 per hour. Work will be based in Blackpool at one of our schools.

The Role:

As a School Cleaner, you'll be responsible for a variety of cleaning duties to ensure our schools remain sparkling. Your responsibilities will include:

Daily cleaning of classrooms, corridors, communal areas, and offices.

Cleaning and sanitising washrooms and toilet facilities.

Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.

Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.

Dusting and polishing surfaces.

Replenishing supplies (e.g., soap, paper towels).

Adhering to health and safety regulations and KCSIE guidelines.

Reporting any maintenance issues or damage to the appropriate person.

About You:

The ideal candidate will possess:

Proven experience in cleaning, ideally within a school or similar environment.

A strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive approach.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

An understanding of health and safety procedures related to cleaning.

A commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
