Salary: £145 - £245 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary special school in Clevedon supporting students aged 11 to 19 who hold an Education, Health and Care Plan / EHCP. The school provides an inclusive and supportive environment that celebrates individual achievement and prepares students with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties / PMLD, physical disabilities and autism for adulthood.

The school is looking to appoint a Science Teacher from September on a full-time, temporary basis. The successful Science Teacher will plan, adapt and deliver engaging Science lessons to meet individual learning needs, working closely with support staff to promote progress, independence and positive learning experiences.

The successful Science Teacher will have:

QTS / Qualified Teacher Status with a Science specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)

Experience teaching or supporting young people with SEND and complex additional needs

Knowledge of adapting and differentiating Science lessons to meet individual learning needs

Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A patient, inclusive and adaptable approach to teaching
