Are you a Psychology graduate or soon-to-be graduate looking to gain meaningful experience in Primary Education?

We work closely with a number of welcoming primary schools across Sunderland, South Tyneside, and Gateshead who are keen to support Psychology graduates and final-year students looking to build a career in education, SEN, or child psychology.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain practical, paid classroom experience while making a real difference to children’s learning and wellbeing.

Why this role is ideal for graduates:

Perfect for those considering teacher training (PGCE / Schools Direct)

Relevant experience for Educational Psychology, SEN, or Child Psychology pathways

Develop real-world skills in behaviour support, communication, and emotional regulation

Gain experience that strengthens future applications and interviews

The role will involve:

Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups

Assisting children with SEN, SEMH, and additional learning needs

Working alongside experienced class teachers and SENCOs

Helping pupils build confidence, engagement, and positive behaviour

Must Have:

A Psychology degree OR be in your final year of a Psychology (or related) degree

Referenceable employment history covering the last 2 years (this xjnqpsq can include part-time, voluntary, or university-based roles)

A genuine interest in working with children and education

Willingness to complete safeguarding and compliance checks
