The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils both academically and pastorally. You will help create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their potential.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting pupils with their learning across the curriculum.

Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.

Supporting children who may require additional assistance with their learning or behaviour.

Assisting the class teacher with classroom activities and preparation.

Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging pupils to engage in learning.

Supporting pupils' social and emotional development.

Helping to maintain a safe, welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

Passionate about working with children.

Patient, caring and approachable.

Confident supporting pupils both individually and within a group.

A strong communicator who works well as part of a team.

Reliable, proactive and enthusiastic.

Experienced working with children in a school, nursery or similar educational setting.

Ideally holds relevant qualifications or previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, although strong candidates with transferable experience will also be considered.
