About the role/school A nurturing and inclusive 2-form entry primary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role is based in Year 2 and will give the successful candidate the opportunity to make a real impact in the classroom. As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will be working with the whole class as well as providing targeted SEN support, ensuring every child has the best possible learning experience.

Job Responsibilities As a Primary Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

Supporting Year 2 as a whole class TA, while also working with SEN pupils

Leading a daily phonics group (Read Write Inc phonics experience would be ideal)

Assisting in delivering intervention groups to boost learning progress

Using strong behaviour management strategies to support the class

Working collaboratively with teachers and other staff as a committed Primary Teaching Assistant

Qualifications/Experience To succeed as a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will need:

Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service

Right to work in the UK

Experience in primary schools, ideally with phonics and SEN support

Excellent communication and organisational skills
