We are seeking a detail–oriented and safety–conscious Sample Analyst to assist our Process Engineering Team.

As a Quality Sample Analyst , you will be responsible for collecting, processing and analysing samples, contributing vital data to optimise our processes and ensure product excellence. Reporting to the Senior Process Engineer, you will provide key insights into plant operations and process variables.

Job Title: Quality Sample Analyst

Job Type: Temporary – Ongoing

Pay Rate: 20.72 per hour

Location: Chirk (LL14 5LT)

Shifts:

Monday to Thursday 8:00 am – 4:00pm

Friday 8:00 am – 1:00 pm

Key Responsibilities:

Sample Collection:

Collect cocoa samples from various stages of the production process, adhering to strict safety protocols and hygiene standards.Maintain accurate records of sample collection points and times.

Sample Processing:

Prepare and analyse samples using basic laboratory equipment, includingNIRs (Near–Infrared Spectroscopy), calibrated sieves, accurate scales, ovens, etc.Perform analyses according to prescribed methods and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Data Recording:

Accurately record all data obtained from lab techniques, including relevant context, into pre–defined spreadsheets.Reporting Findings:

Communicate findings clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing (via email), to the Senior Process Engineer.Lab Maintenance:

Maintain a clean and organised laboratory environment, adhering to organisational standards.Qualifications:

Experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment preferred.Knowledge of basic laboratory techniques and equipment.Understanding of GMP and hygienic sampling methods.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent data entry and record–keeping skills.Familiar with typical office software (Outlook, Excel, etc)Effective communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work independently and follow instructions.Commitment to safety and quality.
