We are currently recruiting for an experienced Lecturer in Post–16 Transition Studies to join a Further Education college in Essex.

This is an excellent opportunity for an education professional with experience supporting young people with SEND and additional learning needs, helping learners develop the skills, confidence and independence required for their next steps beyond college.

The Role

Deliver engaging Post–16 Transition Studies sessions to learners with SEND and additional needsSupport learners to develop independence, employability, communication and life skillsPlan and deliver differentiated, learner–centred programmesMonitor learner progress and contribute to individual support and development plansWork closely with Learning Support, SEND and wider college teamsHelp learners prepare for employment, further education, independent living and adult life

About You

Experience teaching or supporting learners within FE, SEND, specialist education or post–16 settingsRelevant teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, DET or equivalentStrong understanding of SEND and inclusive teaching practiceExperience planning and delivering engaging learning activitiesExcellent communication and relationship–building skillsPassionate about helping young people achieve their potential and progress into adulthoodIf you are an experienced FE/SEND Lecturer, Transition Teacher, Life Skills Teacher or Learning Programme Tutor looking for a new opportunity, we would be keen to hear from you.
