Teaching Assistant – Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 support as a PMLD Teaching Assistant for pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) Support pupils with PMLD during classroom learning, sensory activities, and daily routines Assist teachers in implementing EHCP targets and personalised learning plans Support pupils with mobility, communication, and personal care needs where required Help create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
Teaching Assistant – Requirements
Experience working as a PMLD Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, or supporting pupils with PMLD or complex needs Experience supporting pupils with EHCPs Patient, caring, and passionate about supporting children with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties Ability to work effectively as part of a supportive SEN team
