Job Title: Nursery Room Leader

Location: South Essex

Start Date: September

Salary: £22,000 - £27,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience and qualifications

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a well-established nursery setting in South Essex that provides a supportive and welcoming environment for both children and staff. The nursery offers on-site parking as well as ongoing training and development opportunities for Early Years professionals looking to progress their careers.

The nursery is looking to appoint an experienced Nursery Room Leader for a term time only position, working 08:00 - 18:00, with a September start. The successful Nursery Room Leader will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of their room, leading the nursery team, supporting children's learning and development and ensuring high standards of safeguarding, care and EYFS practice are maintained, with interviews currently taking place via Microsoft Teams.

The successful Nursery Room Leader will have:

A minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or an equivalent relevant qualification

Previous Room Leader experience within a nursery or Early Years setting

Strong knowledge and practical understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage / EYFS

Experience planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities and monitoring children's learning, development and progress

The ability to lead, support and motivate nursery practitioners while maintaining high standards of safeguarding, welfare and care

Excellent communication, organisation and relationship-building skills when working with children, colleagues, parents and carers
