Job Title: Nursery Learning Support Assistant (LSA) Early Years (EY)

Location: Finchfield, Wolverhampton, West Midlands WV3

Position: Full–Time / Part–Time (Flexible)

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience and qualifications

About the Role

We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a friendly Early Years team in Finchfield, Wolverhampton (WV3). The successful candidate will support children within the Early Years (EY) setting, helping to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can learn, play, and develop.

You will work alongside qualified practitioners to deliver high–quality early years care and education, ensuring each child reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Support children aged 0 5 in line with the EYFS framework

Assist with planning and delivering engaging play–based learning activities

Support children s social, emotional, and educational development

Help maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating nursery environment

Observe and support children s progress and development

Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high standards of care

Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies

Requirements

Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years (NVQ Level 3, CACHE Level 3 or equivalent)

Experience working in a nursery or early years setting

Genuine passion for working with young children

Good communication and teamwork skills

Understanding of the EYFS framework

Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures

Desirable

Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to obtain)

Experience supporting children with additional needs

Knowledge of child development and early learning strategies
